The candidate must provide proactive, community-oriented, and visionary leadership. The successful candidate will demonstrate a forward-thinking vision for Foothills that will allow it to sustainably serve our community’s needs through strategic and long-term planning.
The director is:
*committed to and skilled at running the Center on a daily basis as a sustainable business and financial entity
*the primary fundraiser, developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
*responsible for the care and safety of the physical plant so that the building and assets are maintained, secured and in compliance with all local and state laws
*responsible for marketing and public relations
*the team leader of staff and is actively and substantively involved with producing relevant events at the Center
*engaged with Board members to support their leadership.

Nestled in the Catskill mountains, in the highly accessible university city of Oneonta, Foothills Performing Arts Center is a not-for-profit entertainment and civic center that serves the cultural, educational, and community needs of the Otsego, Delaware, and Chenango region.
Since its grand opening in 2005, FPAC has become an exciting modern venue for live entertainment from nationally known artists and bands, as well as local favorites. Foothills is the rehearsal home for local youth string orchestra, the Little Delaware Youth Ensemble.
With a variety of venues that welcomes groups from 20-775 people, Foothills is a leading destination for private, corporate, conference, and community events. Each year, we also have dozens of weddings and receptions in our Production Room and Atrium.

It's the perfect location for meetings, performances, parties and other gatherings.
Our boardroom seats up to 20 people, the cozy upstairs theater holds 100 people seated, and our large production room holds 200 people.
For larger events, come and see our beautiful glass-enclosed atrium. It has been used for weddings, birthday parties, and company celebrations. The atrium accommodates between 150 and 500 people.
We also offer use of our expansive main theater, which can accommodate 775 seats.
